WOW, great progress, looking good!!!!! I've got sort of a wonky tooth, it was bracketed a week after my first brackets and wires were put on. There is a time for everything and soon you'll have that wonky tooth being forced into submission! Good luck!

Oh, man, I can relate to all of you! I smile a lot, too, and get my upper lip hung up on the brackets. Add to that, my upper arch is very wide, the braces are there to make the arch more narrow. My canine teeth brackets actually push my lips out even more at the corners! I just try to take matters a...

This journey in braces is definitely FOR me, even though the financial hit is heavy. I have a deep bite, plus some gaps in my upper toothline. I also have been grinding my teeth forever and the front ones have chips in them. My teeth also have shortened with all the grinding and I have jaw pain from...

I have a brother who is 44, he just got through with having braces. He had the jaw surgery last June. I talked with him recently and he said he doesn't regret at all going through all the treatment. He just wishes he'd had it done about ten years ago when it was first recommended! I think you need t...

Gennel, I'm also amazed at the progress of your teeth at 6 months. WOW! You aren't real far into your treatment, if I were in your shoes, I would be patient. Maybe the open bite is temporary and will get resolved once you're into the leveling phase of your treatment. Jembrace 3 weeks, 2 days with br...

New member with new braces
I got partial braces on Dec 4, full braces on Dec 13, so I'm VERY much in the "soft foods only" mode. I'm a lady in my late forties, have needed braces for many years. Finally took the plunge in order to have better dental health. I have a deep bite which has helped cause me to grind my te...
