Yeah i bust my chips up in smaller pieces, set them on my molars and chew away, i just find when going to Subway your meal isn't complete without chips ha ha. My sister in law had braces and she chewed gum, ate chips, popcorn etc. As it progresses she says you'll find ways of eating things your not...

Re: hello hello!

I got my braces in August 2006 (and had to have 4 premolar extractions :\), so that is a bit more than 3 months now. I got chains added on Wednesday, and they caused (and still cause) quite a bit of pain, so while I was sitting around thinking about all the things I can not eat, I found this forum....

Well technically you aren't supposed to, but rules are meant to be broken, right? XD I've definitely eaten popcorn with braces, and a bit of caramel (yes that's so bad >.<) and definitely chips. I think you just have to be a little more careful :\ watch out for the pieces of popcorn that aren't com...

Thanks,

I guess if I am careful then there shouldn't be a problem. Maybe next time I will try a couple of pieces and see how it goes.

Thanks for the answer

Re: Dating question..

Hi Isabel, I don't think it really will matter too much. I have had friends who had braces and dated and it really didn't matter, braces are pretty common these days. If you feel you need to tell an online date you can, but I don't think anyone will go running away because you have braces. I say don...

Popcorn and Braces

Hi everyone, I have had braces for 2 days and tonight I went to a movie with one of my friends. She was eating popcorn (I love popcorn) and I was curious if popcorn is bad for braces. Since I wasn't sure I went the safe route and avoided popcorn altogether. I am just curious if I can eat popcorn or ...

Re: Speech question !!

Hi Marvin, I have had braces for only 2 days now and I have a small lisp but I find as I get used to having braces it gets better. Not to mention friends of mine who have had braces have had lisps and first that disappeared as they had them longer. It's just something that happens that eventually ge...

Hey there Sam ! Lucky you to only require your upper arch to be braced and for such a light sentence :D Thank you. You are right I did get off easy. Would be interesting to see the tooth-coloured brackets your ortho uses. If I can get a digital camera I will try to take a picture. Sadly, I don't ha...

19 and new to the club

Hello everyone, I am 19 and living in PA and I just got braces to fix my overbite. They were actually my choice and although I was a bit worried about getting them they arent too bad. I only need them on my top teeth and my treatment time is 6-8 months (not bad really). I started a blog to post my p...
