Okay the braces are off
16 months and I'm pretty much done, but I still have to wear an upper hawley for 2 months non-stop before I can switch to nights only. I opted for a bonded lower. Wow it feels so different without braces and I have to say the retainer kind of dampens the excitement because it is so bulky and odd-fee...

Aargh this is an eternity!
I'm getting my braces off on May 16th, a full 31 days from now. When I first got the news I figured it wouldn't take long but jesus it's all that I'm thinking about and it's taking forever for the calendar to move. I want to have doctors induce a coma or something and revive me the morning of the si...

Great news from my Orthodontist today!
Hi to all, I'm sixteen, male, and have had braces now for 1 year and two months. Originally my timetable for removal was 22 months, but today my orthodontist said that I'm pretty much done and I can get these cursed things off in mid May! May 16th is the set date! Six months ahead of schedule! I'm r...

first day in braces
hey everyone, I just got braces today. My mouth feels very wierd right now and I'm still very much getting used to that. The top is actually fairly painless but the bottom hurts like nobody's business. I'm serious. Luckily for me, I have my wisdoms and they are unbraced, and thus pain free. This hel...

question
I have heard from the orthodontist that some foods are off limits, but from my friends that you can usually sneak by with most of these "off limit foods". I wanted to know from you guys what foods are actually bad to eat when in braces to avoid a disaster.

I moved to USA from Finland and I have ever before checked out people's teeth so much. In Finland people really have teeth of all sorts, and people do not really care. I went to get braces because I managed to mess my bad bite to the level that it hurts. After reading this interesting forum I have ...

hi everyone
I'm a high school freshman in Hawaii and I'm getting braces on Jan. 15. The orthodontist said the expected treatment time is anywhere from 16-22 months depending on how diligent I am. I'm getting ceramic braces on the uppers and lowers. I have some spacing and a moderate (6 mm) overbite, but my teet...
