Midline Issues (2 more trays!)

I started off with 38 uppers and 26 lowers. I then had adjustments, of 8 traps top and bottom. LOTS of trays!!! So I had my final appointment yesterday, where I got my LAST 2 trays! And he showed me the final video of what my teeth will look like- and my midling is off. It's off now, but I assuemd i...

I have to jump in here! I too was offered the same options you were, but a bit different. I also went to SEVERAl (count em, 5!!) ortho's to get various opinions. Out of all the ortho's just the one (first one, who does invisalign, and top rated for it in my city) sugegsted jaw surgery. Even when I a...

Hey Mike- so how did it go? I'm curious to find out. I'd just like to add that i DO need bite corrections- The right side of my mouth, the teeth are one on top of the other, so there's going to be a big change in my bite. I have a class 2 malocclusion (i think thats sp!). I was recommended against i...

Thanks Viola! yes, i know they're expensive- one of the most expensive cities in Canada, too- but I dont want to drive a couple of hurs for every adjustment, you know? And the invisalign doctor is actually cheaper than most! I'm thinking your right. i started doing this to correct my BITE.... which ...

As an addition to previous post- I dont want to live with my top and bottom teeth not touching when I chew... if thats the case after treatment, but I dont want to pay 15k surgery!!! I dont know...I mostly want a nicer smile, and I dont want to go metal, so maybe it is the best option.

Thanks for replies. a) 6,900 includes everything- if I dont get results I want, i can go to metal for free. Only thing si if I do not WEAR my invisaligmn, which would be my fault, I'd have to pay $500 for the brackets etc b) Xrays themselves are only $150 - paying $300 for the ortho to look at them!...

I dont know if anyone here reads the "Invisalign" thread, so I'll post here. A certified, premier invisalign orthodotist, who specializes in invisalign, has said I am a candidate. Maybe he has more experience than the other ortho's, I don't know. But he's 6,900 for total treatment. He DID ...

Invisalign Vs Metal??

I've been to see 5 ortho's...you can read my story here. http://www.archwired.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=16428 Basically, I was told by 4 orthos that I'm NOT a case for invisalign, but one- a premier provider- said I was. However, he said I would need jaw surgery in order to correct my overjet. Now,...

Huh. I've consulted with 5 ortho's price wise- that seems to be the range for my area. I might be able to save $800 - $1000 (according to price range other have had) by going to Surrey- but thats an hour drive each way, and the frequency I'd be going, it isn't worth it to me. I already commute to an...

Weird, I had replied to this last night but it isn't showing up! Must have been my wonky computer. I should have quantified- I live in Vancouver BC, Canada... in answer to your question SUGARANGEL. So yes, braces do seem to cost more here. I went to four orthodontists, and called one who told me the...

Pics below- I photographed the actual sheet I got from the ortho, but you can basically see my teeth fine. Looking at the pic, they dont look that bad to me. Worth $8,000? Well, if I have to do it eventually anyways, might as well get it over with now, right? http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/7995/...

Eternity - Overjet, Overbite, crowding- no jaw surgery !!

I've made the appt. I had an initial consultation with 4 orthodontists- Number 4 seems to be the winner. I'm comfortable with him- and his treatment plans seems to mesh with what I'm looking for. This was just the initial consultation, I'm scheduled to get x-rays in Mid feb. After he's studied those...

I'm absolutely amazed- I just read through all 16 pages of your treatment, and I really am astounded! I was caught by your title- trying to avoid jaw surgery. So am I! Thats pretty much what's been recommended to me as well. I haven't made the leap yet. The first ortho I went to see thougth I could ...
