I've got two springs and I quite like them. you can really see the teeth move. it only ever hurts for a few days.

ummmm, be careful. It's a lot more difficult to bite your nails with braces on. I still do it unfortunately, but more often then not you do a lot more damage to your nails the pre-braces, and it hurts!

I wonder if they are what I had a while back. Is your ortho maybe putting you on elastics. I had an archwire which had two metal spikes (posts maybe??) and I used them to hang my elastics on.

Try not to keep playing with them though, as mine broke off and my ortho wasn't amused

yep, I've had that since I got braces (over a year) and think I will have it till the end. You get used to it, but it is very annoying!!
