I had my teeth shaved monday right before braces were put on to make more room. And Ill probably need my teeth shaved to make them look more the way I want. I never knew until recently that you can shave teeth. I thought it was a no-no or it did something bad to teeth but I think its pretty common.....

I recently got the mint and cinnamon lip balm from bath and body works (they come in a red tube, or just mint comes in a green tube) I really like it and its supposed to freshen breath too.

But i still have an implant to get too so I hope it all goes well!

Yeah.....i think it was just a bad day for me. I caught a cold too so I was generally blah and achy today....after some lozenges and tea, and salt rinse I feel better....oh , and lots of wax!

Ok, I got braced tuesday, it is thursday, and although the discomfort is getting better, slowly, i have urges to pull them off my teeth then realize....i cant! Will the full feeling on the cheecks and lips ever subside?? Will my mouth really get used to this as i hear it does? I have ceramic braces ...

gnashers 87, Ive had so many embarrasing moments in my life, all due to my front tooth, so I can relate to how you feel to a certain degree. Ill give a short bio of it all and then get the the bad moments...which have been many! When I was 10 or 11 i feel off my bike and my front left tooth came out...

What do you guys mean my 'arches getting wider'?? Is that the curvature of the pallate??My ortho doesnt tell me much either, so Im just curious to learn as much as i can !!!

Thanks for all the support guys! This site really is helpfull :D I did rinse with warm salt water today and it does feel good, thanks for the tips. My sentance is somewhere between 6 to 9 months, but when it comes to dental work there is never gurantees!! I go for my next visit Feb 20 so lets see ho...
