I had 5 teeth extracted (the ones behind each of my canines and one wisdom). My ortho had me to wait two weeks also. At first I didn't want to because I'm thinking, I'mma have these holes in my mouth with no braces to cover them! However, that 2 weeks was probably the best thing. My mouth needed tim...

You will soon perfect the art of chewing with your back teeth. Everything you eat will probably not be very comfortable the first few days (mine up to two weeks, but my friend ate regular food the same day she got hers!). I'd try adding smoothies (if you make them at home, you can also add some prot...

I had 5 teeth extracted before I began my process...with powerchains those gaps are closing well. But, they ARE making gaps in other places... I just try to look at it as a sign that everything is moving, I'd be more bothered if I didn't see anything happening  . Like someone said above, it's ...

Sorry so late! I play the flute and piccolo, and at first when I got my braces, I thought there was no way I'd be able to adjust. But, I found that the more I practiced and my lips got tougher on the inside I was able to endure it. It takes adjusting your emboucher so that the air stream will still ...

I had the same question after my first adjustment...thinking that after the pain subsided that was it until the next adjustment, boy was I wrong!

I'm finding improvements all the time (with no discomfort associated with it), so just keep watching (even when you don't feel pain).

Good Deal... Please don't be afraid to call them if you're uncomfortable. After a snip or two you'll be on your way :D . Also, for your next adjustment, try to remember to feel (with your tongue probably) if the wire is sticking out before you leave so they can snip it immediately. Enjoy your experi...

Welcome Marvin!

And don't worry, your teeth will shift and you will no longer feel the bracket when you bite down.

I remember thinking I was going to knock one of mine off too (in the back), but within a few weeks I couldn't feel it at all.

Be Encouraged!
