That is a great package on the site that Karen linked you to raninhas. My Ortho gave me two different brushes. A motorized brush with the small round head and a braces brush(with the indentation). I must say the braces brush (like the one in the package that Lynn put together) works great. For me it...

A real bummer about self litigating though is that you don't get to pick out pretty color bands. That is one thing I was excited about when I decided to get braces again. When I learned that I wouldn't be using them I was bummed. :( Maybe we can magic marker the ceramic parts. :?: :GapToothed: (kidd...

Karen, I'm sorry I didn't type that out properly. I didn't mean a separate section for Damon's. I was just talking one post. I understand how they all work and I agree it would be silly to separate Damon's from the others. Sorry about the misunderstanding. :D :D IMHO traditional refers to all bracke...

Uh.... ya...that's what WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAY!!!!! I think after all this time on Archwired, I can be trusted with my personal experience with Damons. I don't think I've misrepresented them even one time. We're also educated adults. Maybe someday there will be a nice thread where Damon wearers c...

Also, I wore Damon braces for 22 months, debonded in May 2006 at the age of 49 years. I can attest to the comfort with the Damon's low forces. Wow braces at 49! that it is great. :jump: It just goes to show that you can never be too late for braces. I thought it might be silly having braces at 29, ...

You said it perfectly Jennielee. I wish us people with Damon's could just discuss it with each other without all of the Drama that invades every Damon post. WE are the ones wearing them, let us discuss OUR OWN EXPERIENCES and questions. Just like everyone else. That is why I came here. Instead I get...

So you have worn so-called "traditional style" (whatever that is) brackets and damons. How many years apart? 5, 15, 20, more? As a child or adult? Please don't compare then - whenever then was - with now. I can guarantee you that anyone who is going around for the second time will most li...

Oh and if you are getting Damon's then I don't believe you will be getting elastics. :?:

My ortho told me I could chew gum as well, as long as it was sugar free. I haven't had any problems with gum personally. It helped in the beginning when my teeth were sore kind of like when babies are teething and they want something to chew to feel better. It had that effect with me, when food was ...

I have worn BOTH bracket systems. Once when I was young I wore the traditional style and now Damon's. At this point I like the Damon's better. That could change as time goes on but that is where I am at now. I remember having to use a lot of wax especially in the beginning and so far I have hardly u...

You didn't start anything Taylor, this has been going on in many other threads. It wasn't you. I suppose it really comes down to personal experience, so I will know in 24 days. The best of luck to you on Brace day! Please come back and let us know how your day went. I have Damon's and want to know h...
