I do believe I know exactly what you are talking about. I had SARPE and four teeth extracted February 1st. I have to admit I thought the surgery and post op was every bit as horrific as I had imagined .. very sick and a lot of pain .. I did recover fairly quickly from the actual surgery but shortly ...

receding gum ???
Oh good Lord .. Just a quick question .. I am 4 months post op SARPE and braced ( gold ) since March. I do believe due to the numbness in my upper gums, and the fact that I spend hours a day in my mouth I may have been brushing too hard. I have noticed a slight recession over my left front tooth. Do...

very sensitive front teeth post SARPE
I just had a quick question for you guys ... I had SARPE a month and a half ago and boy oh boy do I have some sensitive teeth. The perplexing part is it is only my three front teeth on the right hand side of my very attractive gap. It actually feels like a horrible nerve pain and just touching/brush...

OOPS .. One more thing .. As for brushing your teeth, my top gums are still completely numb and apparently will be for some time. I was able to brush a few days after surgery very lightly with an extra soft brush very carefully. The thought any sooner just made me want to scream and run. I of course...

I have to interact with the public extensively and am a little self consious with my speech due to my RPE but suprisingly everyone thinks it's cute. I am getting sick of everyone wantin...

Thank you so much for your replies :P .. I feel a lot better and now have some good questions to ask the Oral Surgeon on Wednesday. I am just so scared to have four teeth pulled and the SARPE done that I have made myself sick over it and I haven't even talked to him yet. Again thanks for the advice ...

pain following SARPE
I am scheduled for surgery on the 30th of January and am being a huge baby. I am very worried about pain post surgery. Is it horrific or tollerable??? I have had VERY little dental work done in the past and am quite honestly suffering just with the spacers in my back teeth. Also will I be on soft fo...
