Yeah, I think I would be happy, they look great! I think no matter what everyone is going to find something wrong with their results... I know I sure did.... What did your ortho say about that little gap between top and bottom on the one side?
Does your bite feel pretty comfortable?

Braces off 2 months early, skeptical of results
So I got my braces off last Tuesday... about 2 months early.... but I guess there wasn't much of a choice in that... because I was going to be out of town for 4 months.. I'm kind of disappointed because my bite seems off. It was alright when I first got them off.... but I was given plastic retainers...

What do you do if you go out of town for 4 months?
It's been months since I've posted, just on account of things been going pretty smoothly and I try not to focus on the braces too much... I've been lurking every now and then though... Well... up until today. I just had an adjustment this morning and I was told that things are right on track,...

I eat with them in and eat them with my food. I just view it as a way to be sure I change them often enough. As for if you have enough, there's about a 100 in a pack. If you wear two at a time that's 50 changes. If you change them four times a day (meals and before bed) a pack will last about...

Eating with elastics in?
Is this normal? Are those of you with elastics instructed to even eat with them in? This just doesn't seem practical to me, but I was given elastics to wear at my adjustment today and I was instructed to wear them 24/7 including while eating. Only remove to brush. I'd be happy to comply and I've tri...

That's an odd story. As far as I know, an RPE has a maximum amount of expansion that it can accomplish, that is limited by the length of the screws at the center of the expander - for example, they might be 8, 11, and 13mm sizes. It might not be a true story at all, I can be naive and it's hard to ...

Just wondering if anyone else has had to have an X-ray to check on their roots 6 months or so into braces. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I'm just a little paranoid there's something wrong with my roots or something! I'm sure there's nothing wrong with your roots. Sounds pretty normal to me. I had a p...

This is gonna be another long one... So 10 months in and I've seen a lot of changes. No clue how much longer I have left. A few months after starting treatment I wasn't frequenting the boards here so often.... combination of an insane work schedule and just kind of wanting to forget about braces and...

Re: Jaw Exercise/Training?
I could envision a scenario where a deep bite (aka an overbite) and crowding might force the mandible backward into an un-natural posture - and in fact there is one person on ArchWired who had just that sort of scenario - so relieving the malocclusion has allowed the jaw to come forward and resume ...

My Ortho told me about a man who had tried to turn his more often than he was told and he wasted the complete time in his expander as it didn't expand his arch properly and tipped his teeth right out. There's no point to this little anecdote, but you reminded me of something: My dentist told this s...

I second the wax. It doesn't make you weak, hehe. Those hooks on the molar bands are little bugggers. I still have to use wax on those hooks occasionally. Sometimes they don't bother me, sometimes they do. (right now they are bothering me) I think eating with the wax on is personal preference though...

This guy sounds like a goober, but don't let that turn you off to getting what you want. At least he has enough sense to not try messing around with something he doesn't know anything about. I'm sure you can find an orthodontist that will happily treat your bite. You *could* just not even mention yo...

I've had a couple of gaps open up and close all on their own inbetween adjustments. The ortho's never mentioned power chains or anything because I haven't had the gaps at any of my adjustments. I guess I would probably make a phone call if I had teeth that were rapidly drifting waay far away from ea...

I am told that my profile has changed quite a lot in the last 10 months, I'm not even halfway done. I have a more prominant jaw-line now... my lower jaw isn't trapped behind my upper incisors any more so my jaw has come forward a bit. Seems like profile changes are pretty common, but what might chan...
