Thanks for the comments and sympathy! It does help to deal with the pain when I know I'm not out of my mind, but these things do indeed happen with braces. In my case I can't bite down at all because the first teeth to hit are these three teeth. I'm trying all kinds of ways to bite, but there's just no avoiding it.
