New appointment, not so good! -I got my wires changed, now my teeth hurt like hell and I am back to the soft food diet -She had told me that she would remove my nance button at this appointment, but apparently she wants it to be there yet for 'a while' (what the hell does that mean?!?) -I got a new ...

I think most people do not wear the TPA/nance and the lingual arch for the whole treatment time, just until major movement is accomplished. So hang on, I'm pretty sure that at some point, perhaps unexpectedly, your ortho will remove them! I was supposed to get my nance removed today, but she decided...

Oh, I had one but eventually got it changed by a nance button bc my ortho said it would provide more anchor. I also had the TPA printed on my tongue, but when they changed it it disappeared. I am also looking forward to have both the nance and the lingual arch removed, they are so annoying! (althoug...

I used to change them three times a day, after brushing but now I am changing them up to six times a day! They have started to break often or they just do not feel tight after a while. I wonder if I should double up or just keep changing them so often... At the beggining it would hurt like hell when...

Oh, I wouldn't worry, I've gone through that several times so far... my front uppers were fairly straight and they've been moving in weird ways until recently, when they seem to be straight and nice, and not only the front ones but all of them! I guess it is just normal, moving the whole set of teet...

It depends, most people just get them the final months or so. I had them in 10 months after starting the treatment and I've been told that most likely they will remain there until the very end of my treatment, that it is wxpected to las around 24 months... But it depends on your bite and most people...

I used to clench and grind before braces, and I wore a splint for a while, but since I got my braces I stopped grinding, not sure exactly why but my ortho said that this is something that happens often! I hope you'll experience the same! I didn't knew about this guard, I just used to wear a regular,...

Oh, no! usually they are used to open your bite and avoid you to bitting your lower brackets so when your bite has changed enough they will take them off! I've got mines for several months now, but I've been told that they would come off soon! It was crazy at the beggining for me, I just couldn't ch...

more (weird) elastics...and some good news!
Hey, I had another appointment today. New wires and...yes, more elastics! I have one crossing in the front of my mouth for my midline. It looks kind of weird, and I am not looking forward to wear it in public! I have also two elastics -instead of one- on my right side, because of my 'unilateral post...

Thank you Karen! As soon as I get a camera I will try to post some new pics. I hope you'll notice the difference! As for the elastics: you'll get used to them! Actually, even if it sounds strange, I feel weird when I am not wearing them, as if there was something lacking in my mouth. I've seen yours...
