Don't pay attention to this....

I just like chewing gum, its fun.

But is it safe to keep my retainers out even if I put them in right after school?

Well, I don't people coming up to me after lunch saying "Dude, you have stank breath." Which I think means you need a tic-tac....and I need to do something besides learning so I won't fall asleep.

Hey guys, I take my retainers out for school, and put them in at around 3:30 when I get back home from school. They still fit, and no tightness, or looseness, the retainers fit perfectly. But my parents are getting pissed...they want me to wear my retainers in school, buts its not convenient because...

I had my Hawleys for about 7 weeks...I got my braces off before I left for camp on July 1st. But now, I am really hating these hawleys, because I have to keep track of them when I take them out to eat, or if I'm at the shore (beach), I have to leave them out for an extended period of time, and leave...

I'm using either Scope or maybe Crest pro clean mouth wash without Alcohol. So I think that is pretty safe.

On my Lower Hawley retainers, the wire is soldered in the molar area, and I have read that cleaning them with denture cleaning tablets is not good, so I am not using them. Is it alright to soak them in Scope or Listerine while I brush my teeth? If its Listerine, should I dilute it with water to make...

Heh, I was at my local coffee shop, and I saw my ortho there on his lunch break and I asked him what was the maximum amount of time I can keep my retainers out, and he said if I'm at a beach for the day, I don't have to have them in.... I also asked him about the wires and where they are on my teeth...

It is amazing! I took a picture of my teeth with retainers in. Its really bad quality, but I was wondering if I should go to my ortho and ask him to adjust my lower retainers, because the wire is sitting to high up on my teeth. So like right now, I'm eating popcorn, and have my retainers out. There should be no movement correct?

I'm just nervous and not used to it really.

AT if you read many of the stories on this forum, often people don't get their retainers for a week or two, so I'm guessing that teeth don't move quite as quickly as we expect, or that they can easily be corrected, when the retainer is put on. I'd not recommend you go naked for too long ... like a ...

Well, I had a good nights sleep, and now, I'm not gagging! I just had to get used to the whole retainer in my mouth idea! Thanks for the help. My top retainer isn't scooped out that much but he did scoop it a bit. And now there is no rough spot on the top. But its fine. I'll get used to it...hopeful...
