I recommend taking them out for meals and brushing teeth. It usually doesn't take long at all to remove and place them on again. I tried brushing my teeth with the elastics on but they ended up breaking on me several times.

Yes the gaps formed by the spacers will eventually close up again. Maybe not completely but you'll notice it.

Though, they could also fall out due to the creation of the desired gap. That seems to be the reason behind mine that kept becoming loose.

Powerchain loose

I ate something I shouldn't have (pomegrantes) and a seed got stuck in between teeth and forced a segment of the chain to come loose off of one of the brackets. Can anyone understand what I'm talking about? Will this be okay? I tried placing it back on myself but no luck. I just got this set placed ...

I actually feel a little more confident having braces because I know my teeth are progressing day by day. Plus they help to disguise a bit how crooked your teeth may be. I never used to smile (even when I wanted to) and just had lots of anxiety about speaking out of embarassment about the teeth. I'm...

I've had this problem numerous times in the past. Bring it up with the dentist, and see if it could be due to weak bonding glue. and refrain from the hard foods.

Despite the missing spacer and one that won't stay put anymore, they were both in there long enough to create a gap so should be okay then huh?

Kiwi, I think mine were put in to try to twist the tooth a certain way. I'm not sure though.

Loose spacers.

At my last dental visit, I had 2 spacers put on my lower central incisor. One of the spacers came loose and is missing, most likely happening during my sleep. Now the other remaining spacer often comes loose and will not stay put. Are spacers supposed to become loose, or is there something that need...
