I am getting braces tomorrow and I am nervous.... I just hope everything will be okay! I am planning on getting silver ligs. or maybe not I really don't know yet. I have been really afraid of the dentist since I was little. My boyfriend (whose mom works at the dentists office) has been going with me...

I am getting my braces put on tomorrow and he told me he would be using a spring. I know it is to make space for one of me back teeth to come out.

Are they more painful and is there anything else I might need to know about them?

Well I thought I was going to get my braces on Friday but all my molds had not come back yet or something. so he gave me more spacers... YAY ....lol at least they dont hurt now! I am so ready for these to vome out... I am still not able to eat very much! I did go to subway last night but it took me over an hour to eat...lol and this morning I have scrambled eggs with mushrooms and onions and the onions are too hard....

My spacers are finally feeling better today! I am so excited that I am not in pain..... They are still uncomfortable and make my teeth a little sore but it is so much better.... maybe I should go to subway while i still can!!

I have looked at all kinds of pictures on here and other websites and I just don't see anyone with teeth as bad as mine. I haven't gotten my braces yet (only spacers) I hope braces will work for me. It is kinda depressing I will post pictures later.

Move your jaw out. I have only had one appointment so I know he will probably go into this later. but he told me my lower jaw is farther back than my uper which is why my bite is unalligned. Does anyone know how they fix that?

Ice is my new best friend.... These spacers are horrible. I can only imagine how much worse it will be when I actually get the braces. I am putting ice in my mouth and barely closing my teeth on it it feels so good!

When you selected your colors did you try to make them less noticeable or did you not care and pick holiday colors?? Just wondering? I know all colors will be noticeable but I will probably pick white, clear, or silver/grey

I am going for my first appointment today... They are going to take X-rays and photos and molds. I think that is all.

How long do you have to wear braces... I am getting mine soon and I am sure I will have to have mine a long time because my teeth are so bad!
