I will ask about molar buildups when I go in on Friday. I think I might go for some silver alastics too. Those do look nice on the stainless brackets. I think the whiteish colors make my teeth look like I have some bread stuck in my teeth. I am already tired of this! I hope this eventually gets to w...

I did! I got braced on Friday and knocked one off by Sunday. It is my 3rd tooth from the center on the left. It is crammed up against the next tooth becaues of the coil (spring thing). http://a232.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/128/m_d89226307ec2748f6aaa0b8da81e4fc7.jpg I will go in on Friday to ...

well that didnt last long...I knocked off a bracket. I thought I chipped my upper tooth when it happened. My mouth was barely closed.
Anyhow, I still can't bite down, but it feels better when I try to eat. Worst part is my Ortho is only open on Fridays.

I tested out one lig to check out the stain resistance of glow in the dark ligs and decided against it once I saw how yellow it turned in 3 weeks. Wow, your alastic did stain! GITD must only be non-staining for certain brands. Mine have definitley have not stained and it has been over 2 weeks now. ...

g-in-t-d alastics
I have had them on my uppers for two + weeks and have had NO staining. Glow-in-the-dark rocks! you can barely see my uppers in that picture but, they "match" the new lower alastics. My molars don't touch because the brackets are in the way. I have an overbite (30%) and I guess it just does...

I can't eat! (pic)
I got my lowers braced yesterday. The ortho asst. said it was like performing surgery. Well, now my molars don't touch. They don't even come close. I can't chew anything. I had a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and navy bean soup for lunch today. That is the only thing I have eaten and I co...

Thanks!
Does Washington not issue an "ortho" license???
I didn't see that as a choice and when I typed in my ortho's name it came up as a dentist.

I love the tums idea! I wish I had that tip decades ago. Hydration - water tastes wierd to me now. It is like the metal taste is intensified. I drink bottled water mostly, and haven't changed brands so it isn't that. I have been ADDICTED to grapes. I slight crunch of the skin has been very soothing ...

no 2nd opinion
The problem is getting a second opinion is not an easy task. My dental insurance is a DMO (like an HMO) so I have ONE options. She only comes to town once a week. If I wanted to see another doctor I would have to drive at least an hour away and would not be able to seek treatment from that person an...

Missing Teeth
I have some missing teeth (recently) and am wondering how my ortho should be handling this. She mentioned she will be "shaving" my four front teeth. I would think pulling one of the matching teeth from the other side to make room would make more sense. I do have one molar that doesn't show...

Pricing, Insurance, Ceramics...
My dental care provider is an HMO (or DMO or whatever they call it). Therefore, I am paying a co-pay ($1200). The cost being low is what convinced me to finally take the plunge and get the braces I dearly needed. My question is...does anyone else have a copay for ortho? and...what did people pay for...
