Not happy with results...

Well, I'm about to be debanded! I was supposed to get my braces off today, but since my orto told me not to wear elastics this last month, my right molars don't touch again! I brought this up today, and she said they would come back to place by themselves, once the braces are of... I sincerely doubt...

I have the exact same problem! and I'm about to be debanded! I was supposed to get my braces off today, but since my orto told me not to wear elastics this last month, my right molars don't touch again! I brought this up today, and she said they would come back to place by themselves, once the brace...

I have the same problem! When I smile, it looks weird, not even in both sides (assymetric). My ortho told me it is because one of my top tooth (the one between the front teeth and the canine) is not shaped like the one on the other side. One is larger than the other, so unless I correct the smaller ...

My lingual bar

I had a lingual bar installed last week, which makes flossing a very, very, very difficult task (i was already used to flossing with the braces on, but now...).
Anyone has a lingual bar? Thoughts on this?
I'll try to post some pictures later on.

Thanks, hope it turns out to be just a stain as well. I doubt it, though...
Well, I guess we'll know that in a couple of days!

And did your dentist remove the cavity with no problems at all? no need to remove the braces?

Hmm really? Cause it really looks like it's decay...but it's such a tiny spot!
Did he explain the acid thing? It's caused by what?
And he did nothing at all? Hmm...

Worried...

I have one molar that has rotated since I've been bottom braced, and now I'm seeing this tiny brown spot, in the area that was facing other molar, and now is out. I think it's a small, miniature cavity...I don't think it's recent, cause I've been taking so good care of my mouth since I'm braced...an...

Actually, SarahLu, I've been searching on the net for nance appliances and I think it's the same thing (or really similar).
My ortho told me it would affect my speech a little, and it would be annoying to my tongue. But that I'd get used to it pretty soon.

Does flossing get easier?
Next apptm I'll have my impressions taken to a bottom lingual bar.
The thing is, being flossing as hard as it is with just the wire, with the lingual bar it will be near impossible!

Wht do you think? Share your experiences, please!

HI Jillianleab . Of course I know it's not something that has an immediate effect. But I was just wondering if it could be possible. But of course, I know it's not something that can, alone, damage or put in danger my mouth. Smiletagious that's exactly what I thought. It's not something that could h...

Thank you for the reply, Rory . The white mark on my front teeth is along the side of it, and in the back of it (where my tongue touches when I have my mouth closed). I take really good care of my teeth and I woke up one morning and it was there! I don't know what it can be, but I'm really worried. ...
