In Colorado, USA, mine are $5300. Original estimate was 17 U & L. Currently in refinement, estimated to be 4U & 7 L.

I plan to have a second set of refinements if I am not more satisfied after this round.

A year into it...

... and it was only supposed to be 8 months! So far, it seems to be going well. After a very long wait for the order to be processed, I'm on my second set of refinement aligners (4 top w/ 4 attachments, 7 bottom with 3 attachments). The impressions were made in August and I was scheduled to get them...

Got the Speedbumps Today

I got my first trays a couple of weeks ago and went in today for the attachments - four horizontal across my top front teeth - pretty! The process of getting the attachments was uneventful and they told me to stick with current aligner until tonight to make the new ones easier to remove (theory bein...

I got some of the Brush Ups and while they are certainly no sub for a good brushing, I do like them for when it's not easy to brush right away. This is usually just a convenience thing - like when I go out at night I rarely take a purse, so I slip one of these in my pocket with my ID to use after ha...

We started the same day!

I got my first aligners last Thursday too! I don't get the speedbumps til March 5 - four of them straight across my top front teeth. So far things have been fine. Minor discomfort, a little lisping and slurring, but no complaints for the most part. Well, good luck! Maybe we can compare notes as the ...

Why not just take a travel toothbrush and travel toothpaste ? I'll have that too, but camping and backcamping, water is heavy and I need it to drink (and cook), so I try to cut corners where I can. I can always get a better filter and boil more for brushing, it's just one summer! On car trips, I do...

You can still buy them on ebay, according to someone in my office. I haven't checked yet.

Jeni: I have to say that I am surprised but more confused that Invisalign was recommended for a bad bite when it is not vanity that you seem to care about. I hope I'm using the right term in saying bite. The issue seems to revolve around my front teeth overlapping too much (top covers most of bottom...

Newbie Intro - LONG

Wow, I can't tell you how happy I was to find this board! I'm just getting started and I'm finding out so much here... thanks to everyone who shares! Anyway, my story is as follows. From a purely cosmetic standpoint, I guess my teeth must look pretty good b/c most people ask why I'm having ortho wor...

Oral B Brush Ups

I just got my first set of aligners and I'm trying to come up with ways to make this whole process fit into my lifestyle w/o driving me nuts. Anyone try the Oral B Brush Ups as an alternative to brushing when out and about? I was thinking specifically about camping, long car trips, etc. I read about...
