It's been a while since I posted, but I just wanted to share that my two front teeth are finally touching again. Still don't know when I'm getting my RPE out, I'm ready to rip it out myself.

Yesterday I saw my ortho and he turned the RPE 3 times, and then applied the acrylic. He changed the colors on my brackets and it was so uncomfortable! My teeth are so wiggly, I still can barely brush them. I am on liq/soft foods mainly because I'm too paranoid to eat anything harder than mashed pot...

I'm really sorry! I have my first visit to my ortho tomorrow so he can check my progress. My current gap is 6 mm wide...and I'm supposed to turn 6 mm more (6 more days). How big is your gap at the moment? Oh and I have the same thing with my bite. One side touches and the other doesn't. It feels wei...

Man it's not fun. I stand staring numbly into my pantry full of rock-hard delights. Nice to know someone else is experiencing the horror, thanks Eeegsy. Brandy, um what? I'd like to say I'm mortified but I'm totally confused. My ortho emphatically insisted liquids for 6 weeks. Gahhh. I didn't eat an...

It's official, I'm creepy. I actually love having a gap between my teeth. Who knew? Maybe I can talk my ortho into leaving me a tiny one. But no, he would be appalled to say the least. For now, I will just enjoy it and rock the gap. :GapToothed: = Sexy!

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this website yet, but it is so fantastic! Really excellent source of information. Thinking back, it sounds like my ortho was reading straight off this website, except this is better because it includes pictures!

Hi pk_girl, think of it like this; you have people all over the world holding you in their thoughts, wishing you a safe surgery/recovery. You are going to be fine :rose: and I can't wait until you are able to let us know how the surgery went. You seem like such a sweet girl, and I'm happy that you h...

Hi, I'm sorry I can't offer advice, but I do want to wish you luck on the insurance outcome. I'm only covered for two more years on my mom's military insurance, and I am dreading the moment I have to research and figure it out for myself. Good luck Graceful 58!

I had upper jaw surgery 1 week ago and I had my 2 impacted wisdom teeth extracted at the same time. I had my other 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed about 3 years ago, and from what I remember, it wasn't bad at all. I remember puffy cheeks, sitting in bed, and laughing a lot after the surgery.

Kim I forgot to mention that he did use dissolvable stitches on me...and like you said, I will be able to snip off the pokey ends soon. I tried a search with your username, but I couldn't find your pics, did you post them in the SARPE surgery thread?

These were taken today. By the way, it is absolutely true, the turning of the RPE is no big deal. A sensation of pressure is all I experienced. My front right tooth looks crooked, but it is actually the result of grinding my teeth at night for all these years, the tooth is ground down, so that is wh...

I can't begin to tell you guys how much I appreciate the support. I'm sending good karma both your ways...Thanks Meryaten and also ScienceTeacher, I cannot tell you how relieved I am. For some reason I didn't know he would be taking these stitches out. Common sense fails me at times I guess haha I a...
