I'm sorry you are experiencing so much pain, bebeger . It should subside after a few days. My ortho also built up ceramic posts on my molars in order to prevent my top teeth hitting my bottoms. The build-ups are very weird to start with, but I promise you that you will get used to them over time. KK...

I absolutely love my waterpik, and would like to purchase a portable one. I have researched portable waterpiks on the web and they don't get great reviews. Can anyone recommend a decent pik :?:

Thanks

I absolutely LOVE your ligs. Well done for being such a good sport. I don't think that your teeth look big - maybe you feel like they are because the ceramics are bigger than the metal brackets, so they give the optical illusion that it's your teeth that are bigger. I can't wait to see what ...

Tonight my hubby and I went to our local favorite restaurant for dinner. As we walked in, Robin, the restaurant manager, called us over and told us that he had just made an appointment to see our dentist, and that he is already in love with the practice, having talked to the staff. We chatted a bit,...

From one whole-hogger to another, thanks for your support Meryaten, and also for your advice about acidic foods. I had no idea that they could exaccerbate the problem. I don't think that the ceramic posts help, as they create a narrower space for my tongue to work within, and so it keeps rubbing. :?...

Powderpuff, I found it very hard to chew at first, but was determined to persevere, as I read so many posts that said that chewing helped with the healing process. It may have been coincidence, but I found that whenever I began to chew, movement also began

Powderpuff, there's lots that you can eat, even if you can't chew for a few days. On my b-day I had ceramic posts built up on my molars, and it has been a challenge to find things that were tasty and edible. But if you are creative, you'll have a great time coming up with new and unusual combos. I f...

Rage, I've just finished reading your entire story, and I enjoyed it immensely. I have never seen headgear before (I grew up in the UK, so hardly ever saw braces, never mind any other kinds of paraphenelia!! wink: ) So thank you for posting pictures. I especially love your wild ligs - you're really ...

Todd, it's great to hear how well you're doing with your retainer. Is your ortho OK with you wearing it less than 12 hours/day? When do you go back for a check-up?

And yes, the weather here has been fab today - it really lifts the spirits :rose: Pizza on the patio at Mellow Mushroom me thinks...

I'm having such a great day today: my top front teeth are all clicky and mobile. It's funny how much more they appear to move when I play with them using my tongue versus using my finger.

Yeah. Things are a-happening :D !

Congratualtions Cal. I see very little about invisiligns on this board, so can't wait to hear how things go. I used to have dreams about invisilign, but ended up with a full metal bracket (sigh!)
