My braces come off next Monday! I've been in since 11/03 - it will be 2 years/four months and 8 days, but who's counting :D I appreciate the comments above - I was going to ask the same questions about removal.

I am a professor and I can tell you that if I did something like this I would certainly hope that the student would report me to my Dean. I hope you did this - if not, you should have - it is highly unprofessional and certainly uncalled for!

While I agree that having an orthodontist on the forum is helpful, a far better approach for all of us is to ask our own ortho about specific problems/concerns we may be experiencing. Sometimes, general answers are insufficient - why take a risk on something as important and as expensive as orthodon...

My ortho's office has a "sink station" which has two sinks, side by side, equipped with floss and mouthwash. Each patient has his/her own numbered box which in addition to holding our impressions, etc. contains a tube of toothpaste. After archwires are removed we can go floss our teeth and...
