My estimated treatment time is 12 months and I am almost in my 11th month right now. It seems I will be done right around my one year mark, so my ortho's estimate was quiet accurate.
Hopefully you will be done earlier or on time as well. Good luck!
Haha thanks guys! Now that I know it's almost over time will of course draaaaaaaaaag on and on. I know a way to beat it is to not think about it, but its SO hard!
markuhde, whats your sentence? when are you due?
kjw1214, how far along are you? (almost sounds like pregnant talk over here)
Hey all, Soo today I had an adjustment and after my ligs were changed, my ortho looked at my teeth, smiled and said "Well, you're almost done! Another 1 or 2 visits and you're finished" Of course I was excited (eventhough judging by my teeth I already knew the end was near) and at the same...
Wow, well all of you surely did better than me after I first got my braces on! I couldn't eat for about 3 days and NOT because of the pain. It just felt soo weird and disgusting to have food go between my wire and get stuck on the brackets, I also felt like I was going to be chewing on one of the br...
$3,000 just for TOPS! No insurance. $800 downpayment and $150 a month til the end of treatment. I've been paying $300 a month sometimes so I have one last payment of $150 left, which I will pay tomorrow at my adjustment.
As everyone already stated, having an open gap would indeed allow for alot of instability, as Denise already pointed out. But going to the image issue. I think the strongest way to create and maintain your image, is through your personality, not the way you look because looks can fade or change with...
I agree with Denise. Everything looks great except your midline is slightly shifted. I am speaking for myself, of course, but I know to me my midline being perfectly alligned is a MUST. Perhaps in the next 2 weeks it will straighten out but if not I say address the issue to the ortho and see what he...
Mmmmuuaa, I can't give you advice on the retainers yet, since I myself am still in braces, but just wanted to say amazing results and great teeth! Congrats!
Yup, I was also 21 when I got my braces. Too bad I didn't come in a year earlier, that way it would be fully covered by my insurance, but I ended up paying it in full from my own pocket, but I'm sure it's so worth it. Hey better late than never! And according to this forum, 21 is not even THAT late....
Meryaten, I was just voicing MY opinion. I'm also one of those people who say "if your not happy with your nose/boobs/body, instead if going into surgery to fix it you should really think about WHY you are not happy with that and work on self esteem instead". Yes, of course I'm using a mor...
I live in the USA and the policy at my ortho's office if that: If you are UNDER 21, the insurance covers the braces and consultation. Over 21, and I was 21 when I went in, was $50 for the consultation and I had to pay $3,000 for braces (just the top). :? And about your teeth Kiwi, I say they look pr...
