Teeth look straight, can we debrace?

OK, well not yet but almost. I got my braces 6.5 months ago. My estimated treatment time was 10 months. I only have my top braced and my only problem was 3 (1 in the front 2 in the back)teeth out of alignment with the rest. My bite is good and only one of my teeth (front) had an underbite. Now that ...

What I want to know if how long did it take, or is taking for your gaps to close? Because my ETT was 10 months and its been about 4 already, I'm scared...

I also would say, I;m one of the lucky ones and I see my ortho every 4 weeks. But my next adjustment is goin to be in 2 weeks this time! :D Thingsis I had a wire put it to create space for a tooth and in one month I got more than enough space but it got spread out unevenly, alot on the side where i ...

I paid $2,000 but that's only for the tops (ceramics) since I only have the top done. Everything included as well.

Gosh, I WISH some insurance company would pay for me. =/

Delag, thank you SO much for your imput! You just gave me new hope, because my teeth literally do need maybe 2 or 3 mm more to move all the way in, since they are already half way between the theeth. And I think with using a spring wire to move teeth apart PLUS this procedure, I will definately have...

How long for gaps to close?

Hi all! I am faced with a possibility of having 2 extractions, just because 2 of my healthy teeth might not have room to more all the way forward, since all my 4 wisdom teeth came in and my upper jaw is already "full" in a sense. I mean I have spaces for these teeth, they are half way in t...

Ajstyles, I completely agree with you. That was actually another thing I was really concerned with. My estimated treatment time as of now is 10 months, eventhough my ortho said before it might even take around 8 months...and now with this new procedure in mind...it makes me wonder. I kind of even fe...

Bad, bad adjustment...

This friday I had my 2nd adjustment and it didn't go too well. First I got a spring wire put in (which I knew was coming) but it ended up looking even uglier than I expected. Not only is it THICK, and dark, it is right in the front of my mouth. It is also VERY painful. Its been over 24 hours and the...

Your teeth look great! Although I might say in your before picture, I wouldn't even be able to tell you need braces, your bite looks right and the teeth look pretty straight, I'm guessing you had the extractiong in the back so then it's understanable you would need to close your gaps. But anyway, co...

Opie, congrats on getting braced, and keep staying positive! That really is the key to living with braces. To be honest, I haven't felt the "clicks" but I have definately felt different teeth being sore at different times and it always gave me a very excited feeling. Keep up the positive a...

Aha! I see now. My first month I had the white wire, that matched my clear brackets...then at my first adjustment, I got a thicker, metal wire put in. Now this friday is my adjustment #2, and I guess I might be getting the even thicker one, plus they promised me a spiral wire (I think that's what it...

Newmetal, I hear you! I'm only 2 months into the treatment, but my teeth already have moved alot, my bite is good as well, and my estimate was around 10 months, but I really do hope it will be less (hopefully 6-8)!

Hopefully you will get lucky and give me faith as well! Let us know! :D
