I understand how you feel. Flossing is the most annoying part of cleaning up after a snack or a big meal. But it's important to clean the in-between's so there really is no way around it. For a week I've been muttering to myself that "Practice makes perfect and Patience is a virtue" while ...

Hey platinum,

Yes, I'm happy. I was just worried thinking something had gone wrong. I guess I was being a little paranoid.

I'm sure you'll feel better soon.

Hey!

I'm new to this forum, too, and I found many good advices from old members here. Very useful. This is one good site to bookmark and visit everyday if you have questions regarding your braces.

Good luck to you. I hope everything will be fine.

Hahaha

I haven't encountered this problem after I wore braces but I do remember waking up in a pool of mess when I was really tired from work way, way, waaaay back. Lately, when I wake up my mouth is usually dry. No saliva where it's not supposed to be. That's why it's important to keep in mind to drink lo...

Hmmm

Floss your teeth without any hassle for the last time coz you won't be able to do that for a very long time. Don't worry about the whole procedure though. Mine only lasted for 2 hours. That's only because I had to take a lot of breather from having my lips stretched too much, and there are also thos...

Hope you'll feel better

I'm sorry you had to take pills for the pain. Mine was breezy when my ortho attached both lower and upper metal braces and I felt no pain. I'm not even feeling any pain now that I'm going to my 3rd week. Rinsing your mouth with lukewarm water with salt on it helps a lot. I discovered that when I rea...

I'll be..

My ortho said it'll take around 1 1/2 to 2 yrs for the treatment so I'll be 27 y.o. by then.

Hopefully it won't take longer.

Whew

I'm relieved. I trust him, I know he knows better, maybe I just needed to hear that from people who's going through the same thing as I am now. Ives - I found out just this morning that I can already eat bacon. But only if I do it real slow. That got me jumping for joy! Yey! KK - actually I've been ...

No pain. Should I be worried?

I had mine on, metal, both upper and lower, last March 2 and was expecting a lot of pain. Surprisingly, I did not feel any. My gums only ached when my ortho put on the spacers for the molar band and that lasted for about a week with me eating a spoonful of oats each meal and a glass of milk. When th...
