I am a May buddy also.....I am 4 weeks post op. I am recovering well with no surprises. I am just waiting on my surgeon to inform my ortho that it is safe to change the wires on my braces (which will be horrible because they will be heavier wires). Other than that just waiting on the clearance to pl...

I have only been wearing my bands for a couple weeks. My surgeon told me to wear them all the time. I take them off to brush my teeth but that is all. He said that they are helping strengthening my jaw and pulling my jaw down to help with the orthodontics. If I were you I would try to wear them all ...

In the hospital I lost 4 pounds and I was only in overnight. Right now I am three weeks post op and I have lost a total of 13 pounds. The first couple weeks I was only able to have chicken broth and ensure. Now I am up to scrambled eggs and very overcooked noodles. I still have three weeks until I c...

Your lucky. I am 9 days post-op and the swelling in my lips has not gone anywhere. I think that they are huge and getting in the way of my braces and cutting the inside of my lips. My friends that have seen me since the surgery think that my whole face has changed instead of just one part. You will ...

Now I could have left it alone and just did the upper and finish my braces treatment but I just decided to do both since I was knocked out anyway and it was submitted to t...

I actually don't feel that bad. I just don't like the feeling on only one side of my tongue. It is sooooo numb and it hurts to move it. For some reason it is keeping my mouth open and making my mouth extremlly dry. I think I only have the punctures on each side of my cheeks. At first he was going to...

Of course I had no phone call to let me know. So that made me cry. I had to call around to find a ride to the hospi...
