I have gold brackets on bottom. I've had them for a year. I still get compliments on them. Got one today, as a matter of fact!

I'm a gum chewer as well. I love Orbit Sweet Mint. I chewed Extra before I got braces. Now it seems to have a metallic taste to me. Plus, it tends to stick.

My clenching started shortly after my braces were put on. The majority of the sores I get anymore are from biting the insides of my cheeks in my sleep! The clenching has lessened over time. Hopefully, yours will too!

Unfortunately some folks just can't take responsibility for their own actions. It's too bad really. Hope everything is healing up alright.

I am a little over the 7 month mark. The ortho mentioned IPR at my last appointment.

I had trouble with canker sores when I first got my braces on. I was using Crest Pro-Health mouthwash. I believe the mouthwash started my problems with the sores. My ortho also prescribed a mouth rinse that cleared me right up. I now rinse twice a day with peroxide, and I haven't had any trouble sin...

I think so too. I'm just wondering if they will hold their color or fade? The ortho assistant said they might fade some.

My situation is EXTREMELY similar to yours. Like you, I was told a long time ago that I would have to have extractions(4) to make room.
