Definitely not too concerned about that molar - I totally admit I was in this for the cosmetic reasons!

but I agree, if they're not ready, I'll be good and keep them on.....will have to find someone for retainer checks anyway, I imagine....

you need to bug your ortho or assistant to explain these things! I'm sure I make mine crazy, but I know every single thing that is going on or will go on (which has been good, because a couple times I've reminded them of things they meant to do at the "next appt"!) hope it feels better soon!

So excited about a great appointment!

Got my braces on in Jan - but now I'm moving to California in December. I mentioned it to my ortho at my appt yesterday and he says we should be able to "beat the clock" and have these braces off before I leave! We agreed that my goal was always just to get the smile straightened out - so ...

I actually just asked my ortho about this yesterday - I'll be moving to California from Georgia in December and wondered about my transfer options....I'll have had my braces on for a year when I get ready to move... he told me that treating adults is very different than treating children - and somet...

some people actually just get worse calculus buildup than others, and it may not matter at all how careful you are! I've been fussed at by hygenists my whole adult life no matter how carefully I floss! so, my orthodontist checks me every month and says I don't have any plaque buildup, so I must be c...

my periodontist is very much against the rotating toothbrushes.....apparently people tend to press to hard with them and irritate their gum tissue. He suggested the vibrating sonic - you just hold it against the gum line/tooth/bracket and it moves by itself without so much pressure - I love mine., t...

slimy might be a bit strong - it's not really that bad....I do brush my teeth a lot more often - but that's good anyway, since I was so used to chewing sugarless gum all the time and now I can't.... (I know some of you can, but right now my teeth are hitting together in a wierd way when I chew - wil...

Relocating while in treatment

I read the very good article about relocating - but I was wondering if there is anyone with personal experience? I would think even just switching orthodontists would be similar.... I am expecting to have a job offer in California in about a year - just got my Innovation Rs put on (top in Jan, botto...
