little question

hi all I've been braced 1,5 years now and having serious doubts about my orthodoncist's skills. Meaning from the beggining I knew I had to have surgery (every profesional I saw said the same thing) but my actual treatment isn't doing any progress so far. So I took other consult with another orthodon...

i have 2 bends too... (u shaped) right before my molars, and then added powerchains to close the gaps from extractions

my ortho said he did those bends because he didn't want my molars come forward... so it's like a "stop" :)

I've been braced almost 5 months, and I brush my teeth 2 or 3 times a day, depending in how busy I am. In the morning, after lunch and night. Sometimes after snacks, if my teeth are all sticky. If don't only swoosh with water until it feels right. I have to confess that at first.. I was maniatic abo...

P.S. The only time I had canker sores with my braces was when I used a particular mouthwash, one with sodium lauryl sulfate (as Meryaten pointed out). Have you changed anything in your eating or drinking habits, toothpaste or mouthwash, etc. since you got your braces? Betty Bat, I haven't changed a...

I appreaciate your opinion Maryaten. Thanks I'm from Chile, and I don't know if there's a law or something like that for the use of gloves (although I think they ARE necesary in hygiene issues). My dentist, my occlutionist and my kinesiologist (all different people) used gloves every time they treat...

I have been only a month and two weeks braced, but I can't tell it has affected my self esteem. In fact, I can say I feel good, because I'm doing something to improve my health (I really had bad teeth and that caused a lot of other health-related-troubles) even though I look younger, there are more ...
