I got my braces 2 weeks ago on Thursday. I have found that chap stick really helps my lips slide over my braces better. I can relate to how you feel. I felt self conscious too about them sticking out. Gradually (each day) it gets better and better. The soreness too. I get better at talking to people...

I'll have my braces 2 weeks on Thursday.
I have noticed space already between 2 teeth cause I can floss alot easier now in there. I have noticed tiny amount of movement already

well u are exactly a week behind me :) That cotton they put in my mouth dried to my inside cheek and ripped a hole in my mouth when the pulled it and it was bleeding pretty bad then I did the salt water and it never turned into a canker which any scrape normally would do. The soreness and just all the feelings in my mouth have changed sooo much from Thursday til now I figured it will all adjust as I go I just had to ask lol.

I got my braces a week ago tomorrow. I can FINALLY put my teeth together without pain well tenderness. BTW each day is better then the last with eating :) though I have ate regular food since I got them I just love my food I guess lol Anyway, it feels strange closing my teeth together and it feels l...

I too have only 23 teeth I have had alot removed.
My treatment is limited due to I would have to have bridges in the back to fix all my problems because of the lack of teeth.

I actually ate more then just 3 meals today.
I had a bowl of ceral and a banana extra today
Its geting lots better each passing hour!!
I have brushed like 5 times today cant stand that feeling of food in my wires.

So swelling is normal? I'm sorry for the stupid questions. It doesn't hurt just is puffy.

Well just for the record :P Today has been GREAT I have only taken tylenol once!! I had oatmeal for breakfast then a bbq rib sandwich for lunch took a while but I ate it all plus french fries. I've been eating pretty normal though from the start. But my pain is getting less and less. I'm so glad too...

I got my braces Thursday. I woke up and now I have swelling behind my bottom front tooth (the root) is this totally normal? I hope so!
