10 days post double jaw surgery.
Hi all. I'm 10 days post op and thought I'd update people on my experience. Operation Day: zero pain. Maximum inconvenience. Stuffed nose, not too much in terms of swelling. Day 1-4- pain still at zero. Not taking painkillers. Maximum inconvenience. Nose still blocked and no energy whatsoever due to...

I'm 28, a primary school teacher and I've been expecting surgery for about 15 years. This may sound a bizzare statement, but I can'...

Re: My journey starts here!
Hello all- What a few weeks it has been! I had my spacers put in three weeks ago ready for the metal rings around my molars. One fell out so I had to go back and have it snapped back in. Then a bracket pinged off in my sleep so that was fixed too! Last Thursday I had my rings around my molars and I ...

Re: My journey starts here!
Hello all!
I've had my spacers put between my molars and pre-molars today. So far, I can honestly say that the pain is intense- goodness knows how I'll cope for the next two weeks.
Hope you're all doing well!

Re: My journey starts here!
Nice to meet everybody! It's been a pretty smooth first week in braces! The wax is a God send, nothing rubs all day and then at night it's quite sore but I'm pleased! The children in my class haven't even noticed I'm wearing braces so I was pretty glad about that! Will update when they're tightened ...

My journey starts here!
Hello everybody. My name is Antony, I'm almost 27 and I live in Liverpool in the UK. I guess I'm on here because I have had my braces fitted today, in preparation for double jaw surgery in approx 2 years' time. I'm so happy that they're finally fitted; it's taken such a long and lengthy process over...

Hi Brandy, my bridges are actually two toothsworth of space as I had fangs removed which were huge so it replaces quite a big gap, I was told that they would prevent any pressure being applied to my two front teeth as they are so big!
Thanks
