wow! looks awesome, I agree what a cool shot of the jaw. I have all those little squigly wires along my chin, many many cm worth...not sure what they are either? and my nostrils are a different shape too (4wks postop), and I cant imagine its anything other than the swelling (unless they did secret ...

different picture
ok that was not an accurate representation of the true swelling, so here's a better (well, worse...) one that shows what it's like. everyone agrees that the swelling gives a younger look (which i might like if i was older, but isnt really what im going for still being young  ) http://i151.photo...

4 week picture
Finally a picture! This is at 4 weeks, and probably a more flattering angle because you can't see the extent of the swelling from this one really, or the tightness of my face. Obviously compared to before its wonderful, so I won't complain at all. Go back at and look at Day 2, and its quite shocking...

5 days after
I think that 5 Days is a good amount of time, but do you have a backup person who could come if you do find you need some help?

question reply
Hey Gem, Im about 2 weeks ahead of you in all of this, and YES my skin did the exact same thing. Nothing has worked any miracles on my skin, but the best so far had been the "Biore" line, especially the triple action astringent. The more my face is in the sun, the worse it gets too. As for...

4 weeks
4 Weeks It's hard to believe its been 4 weeks, I had to double check my calendar this morning. I think I'm in that slow and steady phase where nothing significant changes day to day, but there are minor improvments with swelling, numbness, and range of motion. I have gone 36 hours without painkille...

soups and smoothies
I am 4 weeks post op and still on liquids only, and you can actually get sooo much variety from just soups and smoothies. Just prepare your blender for a real workout. Smoothies: Buy lots of frozen and fresh fruit (berries, pineapple, mango, melon etc...), and various yogurt flavours, and stock up o...

fees
Those fees are absoultely ridiculous!
My surgery was done in Canada so my surgeon charged $3000, but there is no hospital fee here, so that was it.
I really hope you can find a better deal, or maybe find some coverage from the government? Don't give up yet!
Good Luck,
Kate

numbness
ohh the joy of the numb factor! I am 4 weeks right now, and I can feel my forehead , the top surface of my nose , and my cheeks have got partial feeling back. My lips and chin are 97% numb, as well as some random areas of my face...but my head constantly tingles so I know the little nerves are worki...

nerves
Brandy, I am 27 days post op (just about 4 weeks). I honestly thought I would be quicker recovering, but my body always takes longer than the average to heal...with my past history of surgeries and medical stuff. It always heals well, it just likes to take its sweet time at it. I know its impossible...

speech
I'm almost 4 weeks post-op and my speech is completely understandable except for the odd word here and there that people have to clarify. My face is bizarre when I talk because of the numbness, and I have to work hard at making B's and P's understandable- but communicating is not an issue. I AM sore...

bromelein
Yea I went to my homepathic lady to get some Bromelein...and she gave me this instead saying it will work better....? She's always been awesome for homeopathic stuff since I've been seeing her so she had my convinced. I guess I will go somewhere else for a second opinion- but in the one day and one ...

arnica
Brandy- good info!
I apologize I read the wrong pamplet for what I said arnica was for- that was for a different vitamin.
Everyone said I looked better today after starting on the hypericum perforatum...so hopefully it will keep doing its 'thang'.
