Are Zip n Squeeze still running?
Hi people, I am due for a early July surgery, so I ordered my Zip n Squeeze pack early last week to ensure delivery in time to the UK. However when trying to contact them to arrange international delivery charges - I was greeted with an automated reply stating the number has been disconnected! They ...

Brain Damage & Death!
Thanks for all the replies! Lots of issues raised that I had not even considered.. When I went to my first consultation with a maxillofacial surgeon - he informed me of a risk of death due to a major vein running near the lower jaw! I have done a bit of research and cant find this substantiated anyw...

Risks of Surgery?
I am due to have maxillofacial surgery this summer and was wondering if anyone on this board could help clarify what the genuine risks of this surgery are? The bulk of the procedure is to have my upper jaw advanced however it is also likely that the lower jaw will also need to be broken for perfect ...

Though of course as it is all being funded by the NHS, you are not really in a position to call the shots.. Its just a bit of...

I'm 21 and am studying at the bar to become a barrister.. With the prices you have quoted for the US that option seems to be out, I am guessing the contientent would be the same. Meryaten, you mentioned the full brace would only need to be fitted post op.. Does that mean it is possible to have an al...

Sorry Meryaten - it is a underbite not overbite. I think clear ceramic braces would be a fallback option if linguals are not considered, though it would also be a huge waste of £4000.. Apparently lingual braces for jaw re alignment are performed more readily outside the UK, but I have no idea how I...

Brace Choice? - Underbite Surgery
Last year I paid £4000 to have a lingual brace fitted to straighten my top teeth, with a view to book a consult for the jaw surgery this year.. Upon consultation with a NHS advisor I was told that overbite surgery is generally performed with metal braces and that lingual braces are extremely rare f...
