My orhtho was suprised that it went that fast. Actually yesterday I experienced something a bit cool. Now it it is kinda fading away...

That is nice info KeyserSoze, because I also filled out a form for the treatment. The only thing is that I had to go through with this prosedure the year I truned 19 at the latest if I was to get it covered by the government. Still I keep paying approx 100USD for the ortho treatment almost every mon...

At this point I am happy with the result. At first I was freaking a bit out because of the "what if"s, but things have fallen into place. There are small adjustments to be made, and my bite will be perfect according to my ortho. I really dont pay to much attention to the outcome these days...

I am form Norway, and the surgery was done here aswell. As for the pain, there were two almost-sleepless nights for me in the first week. That was mainly because I did not take the pain meds on time. I think I stoped using pain meds within the second week, so the healing went pretty good. The worst ...

I think Yarr's in Norway. In that case, I find it strange that he has to pay anything. I'm also in Norway, and am scheduled to have a double jaw surgery in the (near?) future. I'm not paying a single penny (or rather a single øre) for either the upcoming surgery or the braces. Both are automatical...

Hey Brandy! I had the same thing as you. Although I had upper, lower and a bone graft to my upper jaw. No bands, no splint. When I mentioned splints to my suregon, he said he does not use them. He also told me they WERE used to position the jaws during surgery before, but now it appears they had som...

Nice picture collection kate, it looks like you are on the right track. Looking very nice :D. Edit: Very nice profile pic there! You must be really stisfied with the outcome(?). And when the last of your swelling dissapears, making your jawline a bit more visable, it will really compiment your look....

Yes, the bones will grow back together. It seems like they grow pretty good together aswell since my ortho told me I could take up kickboxing again in a year or so. I am now one month post-op after upper advancement, lower retraction and bone graft thingy.

kate, I am sorry you are experiencing these problems lately. I had almost the same kind of pain you are describing in week 1/week 2. I just had a headache and the pain in the ass earache at the same time. Painkillers did not really help much. If you feel like you have the strength, you should really...

After I had a double jaw surgery, I realized that other people saw more difference then I do. I dont think I have changed that much. However some other people say I dont look like my old self. Actually today my friends brother thaught I was my own unknown brother or something even though he knows I ...

Im glad you are doing good kate! I experienced the tingly tooth ache aswell, but it only lasted for a day or so, nothing big. I had my first check-up with my ortho, and he was very pleased. Since he is pleased, I am very pleased aswell. Luckly for me he had good news for me. I as usuall expected the...

Yep, just like me kate. If I had any trouble post-op, it was on the right side. That is why my right side is bigger then the left. Although it was not until yesterday when my swelling was really low that I noticed something. On the right side, where it looks like swelling, it really is something els...
