Ya know what? It really hurt for about 3 days and now 5 days in to it the pain is really subsided. Unless I try to bite down on something, that still has some pain associated. You guys are great, thanks for the input.

I hear you guys on the shakes and soup thing. I had to go shopping again just so I could try to eat, which I really don't even feel like doing because then I have to try to clean my teeth. Hello, it's good to hear from you. I read a lot of information on here before getting my braces on as well. I got mine yesterday morning, the top ones; I get the bottom ones in about 6 weeks.

I am a 33 year old male in Houston, Tx who got braces for the first time on 4-26-07 and I am not real happy about it right now, but I know it will get better and I will be glad I made the decision to do it.
