I have to say, I agree with the other posts this should be something that your girlfriend decides to do for herself not because you want her to do it.

When I had mine, I turned it myself and had to turn it twice a day. I did not have the SARPE surgery.

I went in Monday morning and they took it off. He then told me no more expander!! I only had it for two weeks so I guess I got off easy! I am not sure why he decided that though! I didn't want to ask and end up with another one-ha ha!

For those of you with expanders I am wondering how long it took you to be able to talk and eat normally. I got an upper expander on Monday morning and I am still struggling with talking and eating and my tongue is contantly hurting as well! Any advice?
