I've had my ceramic braces on for seven months now and im just so happy with the results! So all of you hang in there! I had 4 teeth removed (premolars) to create space for teeth...

Hey contour! Im a 24 single female so i guess i underdstand what you're going through! Its my second week in braces also and its really been tough... spacers caused me constant headaches.... 4 extractions were quite painful .... and braces destroyed my gums.... and i was conscious of them the first ...

Ok this profile pic i just added is my current smile, the photo wasnt taken recently, but the extractions wouldnt show anyway cos its tooth number 5 on each side, top and bottom, thats missing, nor would the metal rings.... they're too far back....What shows is my twisted front tooth, not too notica...

OK now im feeling brave! I managed to eat solid food.... it took me 10 times as long but i managed... was starved... my first meal was soup but then i couldnt resist roast chicken... so i ate it ... chopped it in tiny pieces... what a pig! [/img]

Its a piece of metal (very small) that has to be checked every 6 months, so its sounds like nothing much. Up till now ...

Currently im eating on one side of my mouth (the opposite side of extractions) cos i cant stand the idea of food passing thru the gaps yet ....but after wednesday and my 2nd set of exractions i think im going to have ...

Sorry to intrude but great to hear im not going to be the only "brace fresh" person on this site after i put on my braces next week... we're sort of gonna be doing our ortho process together relieffffffff
