Well I called my orthodontist today, and they said that I should get one and they reccomend them!!! MY problem is...there are waterpik water jets and then ones without the water container connected...which one do I get?

So I went out last night really for the first time since I got braced 9 days ago...and let me tell you, my gums hurt!!! I feel like my mouth got so dehydrated by drinking beer that my brakets rubbed my gums raw!!!

Is this normal?? Anything I can do to help this from happening again?
