Thanks Meryaten. I think a lot of it has to do with the sinuses. I feel as if I am coming down with a cold. I ate some ice cream yesterday afternoon and the cold bothered that tooth, but not as long as before. So I think it has a little sensitivity as well.

thanks for the advice on the ligs. I am getting clear uppers and wasn't sure what would be the best as far as staining. I drink a lot of coffee and tea.(not to mention, still smoke).

Thanks for the information! I have a nickel allergy so I am going to ask my ortho about that and if he can use the stainless steel on my teeth.

I am getting clear on the top and metal on the bottom. My ortho says he is going to do it that way since you can't see the bottom as well.

It might just be bits of tooth or bone. It should be normal. Whenever I had my wisdom teeth extracted (several years ago), that happened to me. If it really worries you, check with the dentist.

Well, I am back from getting my cavity filled! Not bad at all. Now, as soon as this numbness wears off (ever try taking a sip of coffee with a half numb face??) I can eat, and yes, I told my husband yesterday I needed to start salt water rinses. So I am beginning that today.

Good luck! Make sure and ask your ortho all the questions you have-if he/she doesn't answer they aren't a very good ortho in my opinion!

Congratulations on your braces. Hang in there-from what I've read it will be tough, but you know you will find tons of support here! Take some pain meds and take a nap!
