Since getting SARPE a couple of years ago, the only big differences that I saw in my face was that my smile was wider than ever and my profile changed slightly. My cheekbones didn't change much...just a little.

Must say it was the best thing I've ever done for myself.

This is completely irrelevant to my story, but I have got to be the biggest dweeb. What happen to being able to change the topic title like I was able to back in the day? lol I guess that's what happens when you don't update for two years.

Wow. It's been a LONG time since I've been on here. I'm sorry guys for the late update. I can say this much - I've never been happier with my toothies. They are moving along so well. So well that I can't seem to capture them on camera. Apparently my new camera just doesn't want to capture the braces...

Wow. You look great. There's a definite changed and it looks really good.

Well. It's been a good month or so since I've updated, but I can safely say that my toothies have moved ALOT. Everybody is meeting with each other. Hopefully they'll take out that stupid expander next month.

The main reason I had surgery was because there was no way my orthodontist would put braces on my teeth unless I did it. While the recovery part was a pain in the rear end, I'm quite happy with it. My crossbite was corrected and I can breathe better.

Thanks everyone. I'm absolutely amazed at how fast my teeth are moving. While they may not be moving as fast I'd like them to, I'm still extremely pleased with the results. So I finally had my 8 week follow up on Monday (seems shorter than it sounds) and I got a horrible orthodontist assistant. All she seemed to do was complain and make my teeth sore. A few times, I wanted to slap her. Anyways. They changed out my pink elastic ligatures to red ones, and she had the aud...

I actually didn't have my braces put on until a few weeks after expansion with my RPE. So don't feel bad. It isn't odd. In fact, there's probably a reason why you ortho has it planned this way.

For the most part, good luck on getting your braces. It'll be a huge step and you'll love the results.

Wow. My teeth are looking alot better than they did two months ago. Much straighter, considering the canine that is slowly but surely making it way down with the rest of the pearlies. Ugh, I must say that the lighting on the camera makes my teeth a gnarly yellow. Gross. I swear that not how they loo...
