This is happening to me too, I've actually chipped my tooth from the brackets...mine are ceramics.

My orthro put on theese little elastic things that go around your bracket called a bumper. They can also build up your molars with that blue stuff so your teeth won't hit the brackets anymore.

My center line is way off. My Orthro is trying to bring down my canine and in that process my teeth are pulling in the opposite direction. I'm very concerned about this too, but he said that he can fix it and that it does happen a lot.

I have a spring too, to make room for my incoming canine. I have had no problems with it and don't even notice it.

I had 3 wisdom teeth and a baby canine extracted with my braces on. One of my brackets came off on the molar I think from all the prying of my wisdom teeth. No problem though they put it back on.

HI! I'm going thropugh the same thing. I had my baby tooth(canine) for 32 years too :D . I found out that I'm not wearing ligs, they are actually bumpers . They only come in clear and they stain bad.

Just wondering are elastics always part of the treatment?

I haven't been told either way if I'm getting them but should I assume that I will be?

Thanks, I'm going to ask for silver ligs. I only have 2 ligs but they always put clear on and sometimes my son will say it looks like I have a piece of corn in my teeth . Not very nice, lol.

I have one on my impacted canine that they are trying to bring down. I think they put it on so they can really pay attention to the tooth it's on.
