Wires out

I've had 3 cleanings so far with my braces in and just had my first one without the wires last week....SO MUCH BETTER!

I'm really diligent about flossing and trying to keep my teeth clean, but they just felt a lot cleaner when I had the wires off. I felt like the lady could really get in there.

Dr. Humphries

I've been with Dr. Humphries in Orange since March and I really like him. The whole staff is really nice and he's really good about taking the time to talk to me about any concerns and questions I have. His office is near where the 22 and 5 cross over. His info: 725 W. La Veta Ave. Suite 120 Orange,...

If you only have 9-12 months in treatment, and you are basically doing this for cosmetic reasons, why didnt you go with Invisilign? I am assuming that you might have 100% metal if you are wanting them out before the wedding. Maybe instead of using the 450 to remove the braces, why not consult with ...

Braces redux

Hiya, so why are you braced for a second time? What happened? bracesafter40 , I was almost all done with my treatment and my parents both lost their jobs and had to declare bankruptcy. One of the bills they couldn't pay was the remainder of the ortho bill, so my ortho refused to finish my treatment...

I'm planning on getting married summer 2008, but my braces aren't planning on coming off until fall 2008, so I will have them temporarily taken off for the Big Day and put right back on before the honeymoon and other stuff. I know that it sounds superficial, but I don't want the metal glare in pics ...

How much pain??

Hello,

I'm getting the quad expander on Thursday...can any of you tell me how much it will hurt? Also, my ortho is placing it in my top so that it expands and eventually my bottom will just follow on on its own. How long did that process take for the rest of you?

orange on mine

I just got my bottom braces on Thursday and will get the top ones and an expander (ouch!) this coming Thursday. I got orange on mine, but was disappointed that the main crowded tooth was so far back that they had to loop a gray band around the wire instead of using the orange like the rest of my tee...

I just went & had spacers put in today and I'll go in next week for metal on the top and bottom. I teach HS English and I thought it'd be fun to have the metal the same as my students. Plus, to me, the clear always make it look like plaque or goop. Those pics posted look good, but I'm just going...
