Hawleys do seem quite expensive, but considering my moving situation and the inevitable fact that my Essix will eventually break, I am strongly considering getting one sooner rather than later.

I know that you dont' get routine x-rays at your checkups/cleanings when you have braces because of all that metal in your mouth. What about when you have a fixed permanent retainer?
