Lip hang/Incomptence still not fixed, advice needed [pics]
Hello, As some of you may already know, I had a Lefort 1 + BSSO + double sliding genio about 6 months ago, and am still not completely satisfied with the results. The main issue is my chin, and my general lip competence. My chin is still a little recessed, but I feel the main issue is my lips. The l...

Implant Effects
Hello, I had a BSSO LeForte and double sliding genio about 5 months ago and am still not completely happy with my profile / lip competence. The genio helped my lips closer a bit mroe naturally, but theyre still naturally open. My OS said they can't do another sliding because it's already moved as fa...

Thanks for the replies guys, although of course I'm still anxious to here more about genio recommendations. :D I thought my appearance would somewhat finalize around the 3 month mark, are you saying this is a misconception? When would you say virtually all of the healing is complete? (On average?) T...

Need a lot of advice on results [Pictures]
Just thought I'd ask some questions and pray some of you have some insight. (I'm 12 Weeks post-op btw) I'm fairly happy with my post-op results, [BSSO LEFORT GENIO] , my only real complaint being that I feel my chin is still a little too recessed for my liking, and my chin also has this little dimpl...

Lip "Puckery-ness" at 7 big ones— unusual?
I realize muscle adaptation does take some time, but as I looked around the forums, it seems lip-competence generally does not seem as ... unnatural as mine does at this length of time post-op [7 weeks] XD http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/8227/0818090359.jpg There's me playing this hardcore Japanese...

Fixed Retainer when braces off?
My ortho said when my braces come off (Likely in 3-4 months), he probably would need to put a fixed retainer on the back of the bottom teeth, because of the bone-loss-- he wants to ensure stability.
Is this sort of thing common, and has anyone else had any experience with this?
Thanks.

Genioplasty "emergence" [pic if asked]
I had a upper/lower/genio about 5.5 weeks ago, and although my bite looks a lot better, my chin still seems a bit recessed. I think I read a couple times the chin will become more pronounced over time, and often looks recessed recent to the surgery, but I was just wondering at what point should I ex...

How long until eating is "publicly acceptable"
Hello again, I'm about 5 weeks post-op now [BSSO Lefort Genio] (got the wires and splint out a week ago, now on tight rubbers for one more week), and am still finding eating difficult, but more importantly, "unappealing". Food still seems to fall out of my mouth without me knowing, and che...

Wires/Splint Removed, eating is not as joyous as I thought.
Just got my wires and splint off, however eating was not the godsend I had been waiting for. I was barely able to feel any of the food in my mouth, it was coming out anywhere, I couldn't feel my teeth, and barley tasted anything. Is this a common first eating experience? It seemed like other people ...

Quick lip question
Just a quick question I have no idea if anyone of you will know anything about but.. My lower lip seems to "droop" a little bit more , (3 weeks post op now), and I still dont have feeling in most of it. Could this be a symptom of muscle weakness/ numbness, and may go away? I hope so. Thank...

I'm doing a decent amount better, thanks for the concern. As far as the drooling goes, it almost is uncontrolled. I will basically drool on everything unknowingly unless i constantly hold a towel to my face. My OS suggested slurping constantly, but even then some escapes me. I hope I get feeling bac...

Drooling Post-OP
I'm about 3 weeks post-op now and still need to carry a towel around with me because I constantly drool without notice =[ I assume this is partially due to the loss of feeling in the middle of my bottom lip, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and could tell me when they stopp...
