Re: Braces in Bolivia: Gaps, Overjet - Photo Journal
You can Google for many, but I'll see what I can do when I get home tonight. I know I have my photos somewhere and will try to reupload some for you. I was very pleased with my sapphire brackets. I had one or two break over the course of two years, but nothing major. They were subtle and I would cho...

Re: Braces in Bolivia: Gaps, Overjet - Photo Journal
It's a six year old thread... I don't know why the photos aren't visible, but it's not abnormal for old threads to not function correctly. Sorry!

Tiny Teeth and Veneers
Hello, friends! I haven't posted in over a year - the joy of being a graduate student overseas, I suppose. I'm in a tricky situation in which I have to choose between new orthodontists and their different treatments. First: Pre-treatment involved upper front large gaps and protruding upper front tee...

I was braced in late June of this year. EVERY time I have had an adjustment, but particularly when I was first braced, my molars have ceased to touch. A week and a half after getting braced, my molars magically made contact again. After my adjustments (3 so far) it takes about 2 days or so in order ...

I'm glad it's improved! My cheeks got so badly gouged and infected that I eventually had to give up on the wax and live with cotton stuffing my cheeks until they could heal. If you have more trouble, I do recommend rolling half of a cotton pad and putting it in the trouble spots when you sleep at ni...

I have the Inspire clear brackets which do require ligatures. Ligs are a pain for me - I'm not thrilled by the colored ligs, although many people do love them! The stain factor is very frustrating. I've tried clear and white. Clear took a week to turn yellow, and white turned yellow the very first n...

New bad habit of the day: Moving my lower teeth. My teeth feel very loose. Obviously this has to be a matter of perspective; the slightest loss of tension would feel extreme. So whenever my tongue thrusts forward against the lower teeth, I feel one or two of them moving ever so slightly with a litt...

Ow. People actually put these things on children? So, I went in today for what I had been told was the frenectomy. Instead, it was the consultation for the frenectomy. Contrary to what my orthodontist had expected, I must first have her take the archwire back off, then allow the surgeon to do the fr...

Hannah,
Here is the distributor for the Ormco braces company that carries the Inspire Ice that I'm using. The distributors keep lists of which dentists use their brackets. Good luck!

the archwire is a braided flexible beginning wire. The best wires at this stage are the small ones ... as they get the teeth moving ... a heavy archwire in the beginning wouldn't achieve what's required ... and definitely wouldn't speed things up ... in fact it'd likely slow things down. The close ...
