Thanks guys - that all helps. It is so good to know that there are people out there that have gone through the same thing. Brackets refusing to stick to crowns
I have had 4 brackets attached to crowns for the first time this week. They lasted 2 days and all 4 came off, then 2 popped off on the way home from having them reattached. I called my Ortho and he said this happens as the crown surface is too smooth. He suggests "roughing up" the surface ...

I am having them put back on later today. I wouldn't even notice they were off except I saw them swinging when I was brushing! He did tell me they might pop off as the adhesive used on crowns isn't as strong as the normal stuff. As to opening the bite - the front top teeth are being spaced out a bit...

Yes - I had uppers only on for the first month, then lowers went on this week.
