Well at four months into my treatment I have given up on it. I figure if my mouth hasnt gotten used to the wires and brackets by now it never will. It hasnt mattered how much water, salt rinses, product changes I do. I have a small mouth and my brackets and wires just naturally press into my mouth. ...

I have used so much wax and now silcone I should have stock in the darn companies. About 4 weeks ago I learned how to apply silcone and now use only that if possible. I also buy the plain ear wax plugs someone on here suggested. Its way cheaper for the amount I use. I thought by now I would b...

Adult if you look for my post on the braces stories site, you will see my journey with smart clips. I have had them now for almost 3 months. Seattle People

Ok I had ruled out surgery totally after finding out two things. One the OS I went to see, will charge $12000 and he somehow expects me to pull it from my A$$. I had talked to some people at work who deal with insurance companies (I work in a hospital) and they all told me that my insurance would mo...

QKate, for a normal cleaning I only had a few sensitive spots, usually on the uppers. I never got novacaine. For deep cleaning and scaling, yes I would get froze and half a mouth at a time. This past cleaning I was sensitive in a lot of places but I cant really say If it was the bottom ones or not. ...

I have new teeth that get loose all the time. Some after a day or 2 are not loose anymore some are staying that w...

Well thank you everyone. I have thought of nothing else for the past 2 days. The OS has given me scenarios. 1. Proceed with no surgery, with the Ortho straightening out my teeth as best as possible. OS says a very likely chance of a relapse as to make my bite ok, would mean flaring out my teeth alot...

Had OS Consult:Now Expressing Some Feelings

I went and seen Dr James Reed on Tuesday. He has taught surgery at the U of W for about 5 years but recently stopped due to time. He works out of Swedish, doing surgery on Thursdays. He talked to me for a long time about what I can expect with or without surgery. I was upfront about the fact that mo...
