I'm a ridiculously active guy, so It's good to hear that I can get back to running after about 2 weeks (The thought of taking that long off really saddens me though...) But I'm wondering about how long till I can get back to weight lifting. I'm hoping within 4-6 weeks. Anyone have any opinions on th...

This is an interesting topic.... I've always had a nagging dislike of dislike of my ears. They stick out a little too far. Not bad, no one other than me has ever really noticed. But I think that they'd look better if they were a bit flatter. I've always thought about having that done, but it's a tot...

Thanks! Believe it or not, that was actually one of the things I was concerned about! Random (trivial) question...
I'm going to be having a BSSO soon. I understand that they are going to be screwing my jaw together with a metal plate to hold it in place.
Now for the random question.... will these screws cause problems in going through airport metal dectors? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Some additional BSSO questions
I've been reading up on my particular operation (I'll be having a BSSO done about this time next year) And despite the wealth of information found on this board and the surgeon gave me during my consult I have two addional questions. 1) I know the jaws are screwed back together to hold them place un...

Worried about numbness after surgery!
I just found out I could use some surgery to correct some slight jaw asymmetry. The whole process seems a little creepifying (is he really going to cut my jaw off my head and move it a bit and screw it back on??? Spooky) The whole thing seems pretty unpleasant, but whatever. In a year it'll be over ...
