I did not notice any extra risk of breakouts because of braces. I did have to postpone an appointment last year because I had one in the corner of my mouth. Ouch that would have been bad.

It took me over a year to close my gap. Started with power chains and moved to closing loops which did the trick. My ortho says it's best to move them slowly so be patient!

Well I asked his sister and she said he is super picky. He takes the impression to check the bite as well as mark which brackets will get moved for the final tweaking. She said my outcome will depend on the moldings but that doesn't mean the end is near.
