I've got clear ligs and drink about a cup of coffee a day (with milk). I haven't noticed staining due to coffee. Curries, tomato sauces, wine, etc are much more of a problem.

I have one that looks like yours. My ortho said that while the tooth is aligned in the arch pretty well, it is actually a touch twisted and when it is straightened the bracket will look properly centered.

I have ceramic on upper and lower. I had to pay $400 extra but I am happy with my decision. The appearance issue of braces has been hard for me to deal with so I'm glad they are not more shiny and noticeable. The issue of ligs can be more problamatic though.
