Got my braces on on 28/2/2007, hopefully they should be off around sept 08!

just come back from the orthodontist with 4 springs in my mouth, 2 each side up and down. he didn't mention anything about them or what they're supposed to be doing and i didn't even realise until i'd left and looked in the mirror. anybody know what they're for? :S

I'm new here and just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 17 and from the UK. I got my braces on on the 28th Feb, just had this elastic thing put on my front teeth today to close up a gap and it's hurting like mad, just thought I'd share the pain lol!
